What value does ICT add to our education?

Fatima A Shaheed: ICT is a huge world of services that makes our life better Especially in Education It develops students’ abilities And enriches their experience in educational activities And enhances creativity in their work Moreover ICT  strengthens the relationship between communities in exchanging knowledge through the use of online encyclopaedia, maps and getting to know members from different countires therefore it reduces the gap between communities and cultures

Marwa Salman:  Using ICT for education nowadays is a huge proof that the technology has improved so fast in the last few years In our schoolteachers use ICT a lot during the day and the students like it so much that is why it becomes easier for the students to participate and to learn faster and they can also have fun at the same time     

Janet Mashara: Availability of information from varied geographical locations Moreover ICT erases the natural barriers of geography (Mountains, Valleys, rivers and distances)

Shook Isa: What are the benefits of using ICT in schools and universities I think that using ICT is a chance to get new experiences and knowledge in order to improve our life

Zainab Adel: Nowadays I think media has made a huge effect in our community For instance TV is very important to know other counties news Also we use the net to communicate with each other Although media has developed a lot we are still using the old kinds of it like radio because we still use sometimes (e. g. when driving to work)

It is also good to use in teaching and in schools, for example to present the lessons to students and to make the class more active, Here in Bahrain we have King Hamad’s project for the future schools which has made a positive impact in the attendance of students and in academic performance We can use it for developing skills and learning new things. Finally media has made our lives much easier and we cannot imagine our lives without it

Marvin Migide: ICT changes the entire concept of the learning/teaching function.  We don’t need lecture halls or classrooms

Sara Tariq:   I think that using ICT is very useful because it makes it easier for students to get information and it is easier for teachers to communicate with students And make lessons more fun to learn with songs and music than using the old fashioned whiteboards and pens

Rhoe Chepkoech:  ICT  demystifies and popularizes it, knowledge and in the process revolutionizes it .  The student and the professor can access the same new research findings on the same day and at the same time.  ICT is also revolutionizing transport industry:  Why go to the bank if we can access school fees and register online?
